{Inspiration: Dimanche}

Looking at the Oscars 2012 nominees I end up in the Best short film, animated category. Since I tend to judge books/films by its cover {yeah yeah...} the poster for Dimanche by animator/illustrator Patrick Doyon caught my eye. The reason is very simple: the drawing style. Ever since I saw a similar style of drawing in my English instituted book eons ago, I fell in love with it.

So I started looking and looking for this shirt film and came across the trailer:

As I expected, it lost to The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore {no surprise there} but I do believe this is a really good animated short *cough*blindbydrawingstyletalk*cough*.

{Film II}

I've done a total of 2 photography homework assignments for my photography class at university. Both equal in the frustration scale. Anyway, for the second practice I went to develop the film in a different place which was the best thing I've ever decided. The first practice turned out horrible but the problem was the place I went to develop it. I scanned some of the photos from the second assignment {which was mostly portraits with Rembrandt light} and did a little B&W testing on Photoshop. P.S.: I need a new scanner:

I got some shots left so I start playing with double exposure and I have to say I might buy a new film just for double exposure!

{Lady B}

This took a while.
This is basically the first thing I've ever hand drawn and then scanned and painted digitally. I really like how this turned out.
