{Say Cheese!}

I've always wanted to paint something like this.
After hours and hours of thinking what to draw, I decided to try this. It took me hours to paint this since I didn't know what colors to use:
They didn't exactly turned out the shade I wanted them to be, but I kind of like it. Final Piece:
Materials:
  • Acrylics.
  • Canson.
  • Fountain Pen.

{Wishes for you}

I had this paper stars phase two years ago.
My friend from school and I used to make a lot of them in between classes and I found a gif bag full of them from my friend Katherine. Since I didn't want to loose them, I got this empty jar and put them there.
Materials:
  • Paper Stars.
  • Button.
  • Cord.
  • Eucalyptus.
  • Paper.
  • Fountain Pen.
  • Jute Fabric.
  • Old Paper.
  • Rubber Band.

(Anglesˆ2)+1

THIS looked better in my head.
I had this idea while I was making the names poster. I was planing on making something different but end up doing this instead. It was... should I say interesting? I really don't know.

The background was really frustrating! I'm not doing checkerboards, ever. The final piece:

Materials:
  • Acrylics.
  • Canson.

{The Strokes Nails}

I paint my nails. A lot.
Since I've been listening to The Strokes for the last couple of months, why not paint my nails with something related?
The logo was kind of difficult since my smallest brush is in a really bad conditions but I think I pulled it out. Final piece:
Materials:
  • Black Nails Polish.
  • Acrylics {Red, White}
  • Top Coat.

{Keep Calm and...}

I enjoy dyeing paper with coffee.
I was trying to go for the old yellowing look here so basically what I did was torn all the border of the paper, dyed it with instant coffee and burned the borders. After that, I printed the letters I wanted to put in the paper and use a fountain pen to paint them:

This is not gonna be mine, it's for a friend that really likes Harry Potter and I felt like doing a little something for her. I think I'm going to glue a white or black feather but here is the final piece:

Materials:
  • Instant coffee.
  • Black fountain pen.
  • Fire {I used my stove}.
  • Canson.

{Julian & Fab & Nick & Albert & Nikolai}

Going back to The Strokes now.
I've been wanting to do something like a this for a real long time. For some reason I enjoy simple, typography posters and The Strokes have this pretty awesome desktop background featuring their names in white font over a black background. It's really simple, just the way I like it. So I decided to paint it to have it as a small poster:
I think I will be making more like this. My fountain pen died when I was starting this ugh! but anyways, here is the final piece:
Materials:
  • Acrylics.
  • Canson.

{Les Poumons}

There is something you should know about me: I enjoy painting organs.
I really don't understand why but there is something about them that I just quite enjoy while painting. I'm not sure if it's because that's what I'm suppose to have inside me or the colors... I don't know:
Getting the red/brown part down was a little bit tricky since it didn't come out as I was expecting. Final Piece:
Materials:
  • Acrylics.
  • Canson.

{Picture sounds, of moving insects so surreal}

Going back to Green Day again.
Yeah, yeah, more eyes.. I know but I wanted to practice a little bit more so I tried to draw Billie Joe's, Mike's and Tre's eyes all together in one piece of paper. It was kind of frustrating, specially Mike, but I kind of like the way they turned out:
I tried to fixed Mike since he looks like he's in pain but couldn't do anything about it. I was thinking of adding the eyebrows but I'm not good when it comes to hair so I leave it eyebrow-less. The final piece:
Materials:
  • Sanguine.
  • Pastels.
  • Canson.

{The room is on fire as she's fixing her hair}

Let's talk a little bit about The Strokes.
The Strokes is an AWESOME band. I've been listening to them in a full day basis for a couple of months now and I just can't stop listening to them. Reptilia is one of my favorite songs so the other day, I started watching the video over and over again and pause it in Julian's face. I had the urge to start drawing his eyes for some reason so here is the process:
After dealing with eye drawing something I used {since, apparently, I'm learning the trick to draw them} to suck at drawing I finished Mr. Julian Casablancas' eyes. And here is the final piece:
Materials:
  • Sanguine.
  • Pastels.
  • Canson.

{Don't want to be an American idiot}

Green Day have been my favorite band for the las 6 or 7 years. I went to New York City back in January and I was excited by the fact that I was going to see American Idiot on Broadway. Lucky me, Billie Joe was playing St. Jimmy and Mike showed up at the end.
This is my 5th maybe 6th heart pendant I make. I still have the first one but this has to be my favorite so far:
Materials:
  • Modeling Air Dry Clay.
  • Acrylics {white, black, red}
  • Wire.

{Oh the beach...}

Ever since I discovered little glass bottles, I've been in love with them. I went to the beach a few months ago {Juan Dolio Beach, Dominican Republic} and decided to bring some sand, shells and rocks for future projects.
I realized I had an unused bottle the other day and decided to use some of the sand and shells to filled the bottle.
I made this as part of a gift box for a friend in Egypt. This is what I got:

Materials:
  • Beach Sand.
  • Shells.
  • Little Glass Bottle.
  • Cord
  • Wire.
