#DoodlersAnonymous365: February

February was a little bit tricky. I had to make a list of 28 tv shows/movies I've watched and draw a character that I thought represented the show/movie. Some I liked, some I did not but it was a pretty fun month. February was also the month I remembered I had a scanner app on my cel and it made my photo of the doodle experience 100% better.

You can see the rest on my instagram.

#DoodlersAnonymous365: January

Doodlers Anonymous started this hashtag back in January where they asked to draw something everyday for an entire year. I've been trying to make 365 projects or any project yearly since 2012 so I gave it a try. So far I haven't missed a single day. To make it more interesting (and leaving my brain cells intact) I make a calendar with themes per month. January was all about patterns.

You can see the rest of them on my instagram account.

{The Snapchat Project: 2014}

Sometimes you get a little, uh, creative at work.
I never really used Snapchat much before I started working where I'm, well, working. It can be fun, it can be annoying but in my case I draw. A LOT. I make my coworkers strike a pose, or, in some cases, snap a candid and then proceed to draw whatever comes to my mind. I do, however, get some request of specific characters which can be both fun and a challenge.

I'm planing on making my 2015 project a sort of monthly gallery of the different draws I make using only my cellphone and fingers. Wish me luck!

{Café 401}

Hello!
It's been 6 months since my last entry. Little bit sad about it BUT I've been all kinds of busy. First of all, I've been working since June for a digital agency as a graphic designer which means my free time has gone from 90% to 20%. University is driving me insane BUT I finally finished this semester and the next semester is my last one taking classes, and {hopefully} I'll be done with university next year. Yay!

Anyway, one of my friends from work told me he had a friend who opened a cafe recently and was looking for someone to paint the door and glass of the shop. For some divine reason, he thought of me and that's how I pretty much got the chance to paint a big piece for a local cafe, Cafe401

I made the illustration in Illustrator, printed the whole thing out {NEVER print a 106" x 86" or something piece on a bunch 8.5" x 11" it's going to be a nightmare, it's going to be hell} I was nervous, dizzy, excited, giggling last Thursday  as I went to the cafe and put everything together.

From 18.00 til' 23.00 I was painting non-stop {ok, I did stop for some food and water. I NEED MY FOOD AND WATER} and the result was pretty much satisfying.  Here's a little hyper lapse of the door and the papers and whatnot.
 I didn't have the chance to take what you might call "decent photos" but my friend took some random ones that will {sort of} let you see the whole thing. I will eventually take some time to take some photos of the whole thing.

{Wallpeople 2014}

The 7th of June was this year's Wallpeople.
The theme was everything nature related. I decided to give it a try {after I almost bailed on it cause I was going to be all alone, etc} and made a little something. All in all, it was a nice activity. There was a guy who wanted my piece so SUCCESS!

My dear mate, Patricia, showed up at the end after all! Yay, Patricia! She is holding one of my two pieces {they are basically the same only difference is one has the legs coloured and the other isn't}

{For the Little Ones}

Good evening, boys and girls!
I know, I know... I haven't posted in ages but school is not exactly allowing me to do much. BUT I'M DONE WITH THIS SEMESTER SO YAY!
I was planing to make a book for my niece's 2nd birthday but, again, school didn't allow me to finish it. Now she's two and still no book. I did finish two {I know...} pages out of the ten I was planing to make. I think my style of illustration goes well with this kind of stuff.

I'm going to try to finish this as soon as possible and maybe print it in some fancy paper for the general public {as in people who know my niece} to admire. I finally got a proper camera so you'll see a lot of decent photos from now on. I think I'll continue with my me as famous things series once I decide which one to make next.
