{Detachable Collar}

Back to when I was getting ready to the longest 2 days of my university life {that time I participate in my university's bazar} among the things I made to sell, I tried to make some detachable collars. It was not a lot of fun after I made the third one but easy nevertheless. I made 6 different types:

If you want to make any of them, just follow the steps after the jump.

{Library Pictures}

Of the quickening canoe!
Months ago, I kept listening to Suck it and See by Arctic Monkeys on a daily basis. I ended up designing something out of the blue based on Library Pictures.

 Actually proud of that thing. I was going to print it on transfer paper to make a t-shirt but {a} I didn't have the time to go the print shop and {b} I was not going to spend money on that. Since I got an incredible urge to make something yesterday I said to myself "whatever, I'll paint it by hand". Got my paint out, cut out the stencil and started painting on the t-shirt.

 I was extremely nervous about painting on a white t-shirt since I tend to smudge paint over every single t-shirt I paint but since must of them are black it's not noticeable. It didn't turned out as bad as I expected so score! I might need to get more black paint and retouch the center banner.

Materials:
  • White fabric paint
  • Black fabric paint
  • Plain white t-shirt
  • Plastic sheet
  • Tape
  • Cutter

{Pattern Shorts}

Back in NJ while I was working for the summer I had to wear khaki pants as part of my uniform.
I got this really cheap long ones while I was there in our {me and my dearest} no. 1 option when it came to shopping cheap/ actually good clothes.
One day while I was working I felt pretty badly to the ground {that was kind of embarrassing...} and they got this weird spot on my upper tights. No good. So after thinking what to do with it I decided I was going to paint them.
Got some scissors, made the pants shorts and started painting my pattern. Good thing: Pretty damn proud of how they turned out. Bad thing: I have no more red paint *sad life*

Another thing that I got but haven't had the chance to tell you all about was a bunch of old analog cameras. I got them from the same store I got the pants. I know the Olympus one is working, not sure about the other two. If they don't, well they make pretty decoration/ photo props.

Materials {Shorts}:
  • Long khaki pants.
  • White, red and black fabric paint.
  • Black Sharpie®
  • Scissors.

{Doodling on Converse}

My poor 6 years Converse.

I've been wearing the same pair of Converse since I was 14 years old. They've been through mud, rain and 100 other things I cannot remember. Since I found a bottle of white fabric paint for US$ 0.99 in one of my Shicake goes thrifting trips, I decided to add some doodles to my old pair.

Took me like 10 minutes to finish both of them. Happy with the result.

Materials:
  • White fabric paint.
  • Old pair of black Converse

{This is a post about The Black Keys}

This is a post about how I made a t-shirt inspired by The Black Keys' album Brothers.
I had this idea a couple of weeks ago but had some trouble figuring out what to put after The Black Keys line and finally yesterday an idea came to my little head.

Making that stencil was not easy. My hands were killing me since the plastic I usually use is not as thick as this one. I should add that I made this yesterday {actually today} around 02.00 even though I had to wake up at 10.00.

Very proud of how this turned out! I usually mess everything up by not putting enough pressure in the stencil but not this time... or that time I made the Fluorescent Adolescent one.

Materials:
  • Plain black t-shirt {mine was long sleeve}
  • Plastic sheet
  • Fabric Paint {White, Red}
  • Patience

{Fluorescent Adolescent}

A few weeks back, my friend Katherine finally gave me the t-shirts she wanted me to paint. Her request was simple: "I want a 12:51 Strokes t-shirt and another one with something Arctic Monkeys related"
The 12:51 was easy since I've already done that one and I had the stencil but the Arctic Monkeys themed on was well, not that simple. Hours of looking what to do I had three options for her and she picked the Fluorescent Adolescent single cover.

Draw the stencil, cut it out, lay it on the t shirt and a lot of white and blue mixing:

I had a photography assignment this week and, as usual, I went to Katherine for help. She is usually my "model" when it comes to this class and just my luck she had the t-shirt on. Took some photos for the assignment which was basically movement photos:

As usual, I started playing around with photoshop and added some colors to some photos {just this one but you get the idea}:

Materials:

  • Olympus OM-10
  • Kodak ColorPlus 200
  • Adobe Photoshop CS5

{Shorts Shorts Shorts Shorts Shorts Shorts}

Shorts, Shorts, Shorts!
I've been wanting some shorts for a while, but not just any shorts: ripped, studded shorts. The problem is I never seem to find them anywhere and if I did they where {a} Too expensive or {b} sold online. While cleaning my closet the other day, I found a pair of old capris I haven't used in forever. After some meditating last night I got the nerve to cut them and started making my own cuffed, studded shorts. {P.S.: My foot is in the way D: }

They were really easy to make. I might as well start making my own clothes whenever I can't find what I want {at least cut some pants to make shorts since I can't really make clothes hence my lack of sewing abilities}. Short up! {heh HIMYM... ok I'll stop now}:

Materials:
  • Old capris jeans
  • Scissors
  • Cutter
  • Studs
  • Sandpaper
  • Safety pins

{Is the time my voice}

Found the words i sought...
12:51. So right, more The Strokes. I've got this idea while making my mini posters. This was not going to be a t shirt but, somehow, I end up making the t shirt.
After dealing with paint to get the right color, I ended up with a decent hand painted t shirt:
Materials:
  • Plain Cotton Black T Shirt.
  • Acrylic Paint.
  • Fabric Paint.
  • Chalk
