{XV Feria Internacional del libro + MAM}

Remember the poster I simplified the other day? Today I decided to visit the XV Feria Internacional del Libro with some friends.
It is actually, as it names indicates, a book fair where you can find a large variety of books but also some goods like clothing, jewelry, food, etc. We didn't had the chance to visit the whole fair cause it's huge! but we did stopped at several stands and, of course, we visited the craft area. Sadly Katherine aka ~my homework model had to go home earlier cause she wasn't feeling well {I love you Katherine!}

Since the Museum of Modern Art {MAM} is in the same area where the fair is held we decided to pay it a visit. Always a pleasure visiting the museum to appreciate some local and international artist's work.

Ever since I visited the museum a few months back I always visit this installation whenever I have the change. It consists of hanging half egg shapes showing projections representing people's different fears {Drowning, religion, etc.}

We found an interactive installation where we were supposed to pick one of the tittles of the map and burn them but there were no matches. Sad life.

On the lower level of the museum was an origami exhibition. The interesting part of it was that all the origamis were made with recycled materials. From old newspaper to water bottles combined with old black & white magazines. At the center of the room was this gorgeous tree with hanging origami cranes that I felt completely in love with! We had a guide who was one of the artist and he told us we could actually win the tree if we enter a contest. In order to enter, we had to guess the age of one of the pieces but neither of us guess right. Bummer.

At the end of the exhibition, the guide told us that he was gonna teach us how to make a simple yet pretty origami that could be used as a letter.

Good thing: "Well done!" is what the guide told me when I showed him my origami {ego alert}

{Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair}

*tunununtunun*
Ok so MORE Arctic Monkeys! yay! I've been listening to the Arctic Monkeys non-stop for the last couple of weeks therefore I painted something. The Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair video is um pretty interesting...

I was planing on making 4 stills from the video but university finals had me with zero free time and/or inspiration to finish them so I just made two. Note: Getting the same neon colors is IMPOSSIBLE with watercolors.

{Film III}

How sad... this is my last Photography assignment.
Last Tuesday: not exactly the chillest day of my life. Between finding a film and getting to the location I was supposed to take the photos it was one hell of a day. I ended up in the place on time and I had to use a 400 ISO film {I usually use 100 or 200}
The assignment was simple: 4 pairs of movements photos and 4 pairs of depth of field. As usual, Katherine {aka my personal ~model~} helped me and posed for some of the photos.

 After I was done, Katherine decided to take some "candid" photos of my face... Not something I'm really used to.

{Fluorescent Adolescent}

A few weeks back, my friend Katherine finally gave me the t-shirts she wanted me to paint. Her request was simple: "I want a 12:51 Strokes t-shirt and another one with something Arctic Monkeys related"
The 12:51 was easy since I've already done that one and I had the stencil but the Arctic Monkeys themed on was well, not that simple. Hours of looking what to do I had three options for her and she picked the Fluorescent Adolescent single cover.

Draw the stencil, cut it out, lay it on the t shirt and a lot of white and blue mixing:

I had a photography assignment this week and, as usual, I went to Katherine for help. She is usually my "model" when it comes to this class and just my luck she had the t-shirt on. Took some photos for the assignment which was basically movement photos:

As usual, I started playing around with photoshop and added some colors to some photos {just this one but you get the idea}:
